ATLF On Tour!
I wanted to start the new blog off with a bang, and boy, what a bang it is!

On July 23 I traveled to Dallas to the studio of JVS To meet and learn from John Michael Cooper and Dalisa Cooper of ALTF For the Very ALTF Summer Tour. John and Dalisa are great. JMC gave me a lot to think about. Normally I’ll sit back and watch and be skeptical at a seminar hoping to come away with one gem to make the six hours of driving and the money for the ticket worth while.
Today the teacher found a student. Take a look at John’s Blog for the final version of this image of The Bride Of Frakenstein Taken by John Michael Cooper
.
I took the time to listen, and watch, and saw the kind of genius JMC has and how it can apply to my work. One thing that John is, above all else, is an artist. In many ways I had forgotten the artist part of me in the need to make good images for my brides. John showed me a way to do both. Create the stuff that feeds the artist in me and still deliver the images the bride expects from her wedding. Watch this space in the next few weeks and I’ll show you what I mean.
Thanks also to JVS and Annie for opening their studio to us. It is a great place and a cool space.
